Good climate
The climate crisis permeates all areas of society, so our efforts to drive positive change are consistent with our vision. We focus on clean energy, new ways of working, investment in education, association work and support for regional engagement.

Our strength lies in the skills and passion of our people. Fair cooperation based on strong values creates a climate in which we can develop tomorrow’s solutions together.
We are committed to equality, diversity and equal opportunity. We create a work environment where people can reach their full potential regardless of their cultural and social background, gender and gender identity, age, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation and religion, and promote an inclusive corporate culture.
Health and safety in the workplace is important to us. We offer regular health checks, first aid courses, vaccinations and healthy eating programmes. Our occupational safety measures ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Flexible working hours and location models, including working from home, support work-life balance.
Our employees are represented on key committees and play an active role in shaping and making decisions. We support the growth and development of our employees through individual development plans and structured induction programmes.
As part of our corporate volunteering strategy, we encourage and support our employees to give their time and/or expertise to charitable projects or social causes. Each employee can dedicate one working day a year to volunteering, for example on community days. We also support our employees with flexible working arrangements to help them balance their work and volunteering commitments.
Through our commitment to renewable energy, we are shaping a future free from harmful greenhouse gases. Today, we are already taking responsibility for a strong society.
Our commitment to renewable energy is creating many jobs in the green economy. These range from research and development, to installation and maintenance, to administration and logistics. By developing skills in these areas, we support local economies and offer long-term career opportunities in a high-growth industry.
Our renewable energy projects strengthen energy independence and security. Local and decentralised energy production reduces dependence on fossil fuels and imported energy. This not only contributes to national security, but also protects against price fluctuations and supply shortages.
Our commitment does not stop at national borders. We work with partnerships and organisations around the world to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. Together, we are committed to tackling global challenges and creating a sustainable energy future for all.
We think globally and act locally. Many of our projects involve working closely with local communities. In this way, we promote not only environmental protection, but also the social and economic well-being of the regions in which we operate. We also make a valuable contribution to local environmental protection through local biodiversity restoration projects.
Innovation is the key to a sustainable future. That is why we continue to invest in innovative start-ups and their new technologies and more efficient solutions for a climate-neutral future.

Since our founding in 1997, we have taken responsibility for people and the environment. Our values guide our actions and we are committed to acting ethically and responsibly.
We expect all our employees, business partners and suppliers to adhere to ethical standards and respect human rights. We carefully monitor our supply chain to ensure compliance with ESG criteria and promote a culture of transparency and integrity.
An anonymous feedback system and whistleblower protection measures ensure that compliance concerns can be raised in confidence.
We play a constructive role in the development of legislation and policies that support growth and innovation in the renewable energy sector. To this end, we are involved in the following associations and initiatives:
- German Wind Energy Association (BWE)
- German Solar Industry Association (BSW)
- Leaders for Climate Action
Our investments underline our commitment to a carbon-neutral future. Unfortunately, even we can’t avoid producing a few tonnes of CO2, especially in the value chain. Turbine manufacturers are working hard to produce carbon-neutral wind turbines, but the materials they use, such as concrete and metals, still contain “grey emissions”.
We report transparently on all greenhouse gases “on our books” as part of our greenhouse gas inventory, which is independently verified by an auditor.

For example, we help prevent food waste by reducing losses and waste on farms, supporting the achievement of SDG 2.

With the wind and solar energy systems we develop and operate, we are actively driving the energy transition to 100% renewable energy – making a significant contribution to SDG 7.

The value creation associated with our projects in local communities promotes economic growth in sometimes structurally weak regions – thus supporting the achievement of SDG 8.

Through Saxovent’s real estate investments, we are committed to sustainable urban and neighbourhood development and the creation of affordable housing – a positive contribution to SDG 11.

We invest in climate-friendly construction with a minimal carbon footprint for buildings, primarily using wood as a sustainable building material.

As a pioneer in wind energy, SDG 13 is deeply embedded in our corporate DNA – with our solar activities and numerous partnerships with project partners for regional climate protection increasingly contributing to this goal.

We are committed to preserving and enhancing existing ecosystems. Through our investments, we use technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. Our efforts promote soil conservation and biodiversity, contributing to SDG 15.
